Better Health offers assistance with emergency prescriptions, dental extractions, vision aid and medical travel to clients whose household income falls within 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
What you will need to bring in for emergency direct aid services:
- Proof of residence in Cumberland County (utility bill, lease, etc.)
- The prescriptions (for medication needs and for eye glasses)
- Proof of household income (for all- must include food stamps, social security and any other income sources)
- A valid ID (for all)
- Proof of appointment date/time (for travel assistance to out of town medical appointments)
*Please note that some medications are not covered. We will be able to evaluate your meds when you arrive.
